    • Overview

Join us for a discussion on reviewing the key patient care components within the 2022 CDC Opioid Guideline Update. The specific recommendations within the 2022 CDC Opioid Guideline Update will be discussed within the context of appropriate pain management. Additionally, we will discuss pain management best practices utilized prior to initiating opioid medications and for chronic utilization. Regardless of the debate over morphine milligram equivalent (MME) factor utilization and appropriateness, we will also discuss MME Factors for appropriate utilization in patient care. Overall, our society has greatly changed since the 2016 CDC Opioid Guidelines, thus it’s a great time to discuss how our patient care needs to adapt as well.
