    • Overview

      If you were to stop someone on the street and ask them what their New Year’s resolution is, chances are they would tell you that they want to lose weight. Obesity has held the national attention for many years and is the subject of innumerable studies, debates, and opinions. In a sea of weight loss information and misinformation, the role of a pharmacy practitioner can be hard to define. This program seeks to aid the pharmacist in building the confidence to aid patients embarking on the journey of weight loss. Whether patients need to prepare for weight gain because of a new medication, consider pharmaceutical options for managing their diet, or decide on the necessity of surgical intervention, this course will shed light on how to help those ready to shed those pesky pounds!
