    • Overview

Globally, there are over two million cases of breast cancer diagnosed each year and it is the most diagnosed cancer. There are many treatment options available and determining the best therapy for a given person involves a lot of screening, staging, imaging, and assessments. In this session, we’ll introduce how these medications work, break down the patient-specific treatment process, and review supportive care and toxicity risks. We will categorize the different medications and describe their roles. As cancer therapies, these medications are considered hazardous medications and proper sterile and hazardous compounding techniques will be reviewed.
