  Overview

  Integrative pharmacy recognizes the value of a holistic and systematic approach to health and wellness. This module is part of a specialty certification which examines the pharmacist’s role in integrative medicine. In this module, the thyroid’s role in core metabolism is examined. Various mechanisms of assessing thyroid function are examined using an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. Nutraceuticals known to support patients struggling with thyroid health challenges are examined in detail. Proper guidance by a knowledgeable pharmacist can help patients improve their states of health and inherent senses of well-being.
