    • Overview

While benzodiazepines do not get the same level of drug-harm publicity that opioids do, they still pose a significant public health threat due to medication harm. Despite over 60 years of market availability, much still needs to be learned regarding which patients should be prescribed these medications and when and how they can appropriately be deprescribed. In attending this program, participants will learn both appropriate prescribing and deprescribing techniques. They will also interact with a patient case and learn how to facilitate positive conversations regarding benzodiazepine use and tapering.
