    • Overview

This course examines the factors that literally set pharmacists and technicians up to fail in most pharmacy practice environments. It considers how practitioners and managers can work together to meet their shared responsibility of reducing the occurrence of pharmacy errors. The class discusses the relatively unseen (but nevertheless important) fact that pharmacists correct many errors made by prescribers and patients; all to the benefit of drug therapy. The class considers how regulatory objectives and pharmacy practice objectives can both be met through the implementation of pharmacy continuous quality improvement.
