      Prescriptive authority of pharmacists represents a departure from the traditional role of pharmacists and has driven change in practice laws and regulations to allow pharmacists to practice at the top of their education and training in prescribing contraceptives. This module will distinguish between the different types of prescriptive authority and outline steps to minimize the risks and legal complications associated with prescribing contraception.
