    • Overview

Many pharmacists can state the issues that plague our profession, and burnout remains a common topic today. The job market continues to be over-saturated, which causes burned out pharmacists feel more stuck in their current positions. What has been demonstrated in the literature is that the work environment causes moral injury, which over time, can lead to the common burnout symptoms. Despite research showing for the last 20 years the state of burnout in institutions (50-70% burnout rates), little has been done to improve work conditions for pharmacists. In this class, you will learn what the devastating facts about how burnout impacts not only you and your loved ones but negatively impacts patients. Then you will learn how you can change your personal circumstances if you are burned out, and what companies can do as well to improve conditions for pharmacists.
