      In this module, participants will learn about metabolic syndrome, a culmination of disease states and symptoms which are often highly preventable and treatable though lifestyle and functional medicine. This session will describe risk factors as well as states of disease which are influenced by metabolic syndrome. Participants will learn to recognize the different classes of medicine that are used to treat conditions of metabolic syndrome, as well as associated drug induced nutrient depletions.

      Recognize the different classes of medicine that are used to treat conditions of metabolic syndrome, as well as associated drug induced nutrient depletions.
      Identify the disease states which Metabolic Syndrome can influence.
      Identify the conditions which make up, and risk factors that can lead to metabolic syndrome.
      Recognize how common and preventable many factors of metabolic syndrome are.
      Specify how lifestyle medicine, including natural supplements, diet, and exercise can be used to prevent and treat metabolic syndrome.
