    • Overview

Telehealth communication used to be a communication tool between providers and patients.  The COVID pandemic has brought forward a need to re-evaluate telehealth as a new mode of communication for many healthcare professionals including nurses and pharmacists.  This webinar will examine pros and cons to telehealth communication.  Participants will learn about different techniques to provide telehealth communication and review steps in establishing a telehealth program, including reimbursement for a chronic disease program (ex. Diabetes). Using examples from an ongoing telehealth program run by pharmacists with support from nursing staff, participants will be able to evaluate the use of telehealth technology in their practice.
