  Overview

  This monograph provides an overview of Texas pharmacy laws that apply to pharmacy departments in healthcare institutions, such as a hospital or a medical center.  The monograph summarizes regulations applicable to staffing, the practice site, order processing, pharmaceutical care services, pharmaceutical products, and automated devices and systems.  Language from Texas Board of Pharmacy Rules is cited extensively to assure accuracy of the information.  Checklists of pharmacy department responsibilities are provided.
