  Overview

  The age of motherhood has increased tremendously over the past 3 decades. Women tend to delay pregnancy until their thirties, which delays possible conception. Infertility is not typically a focus in pharmacy curricula; however, a growing need to take care of patients with infertility issues cannot be overlooked. Pharmacists must be educated on the physiology of a woman's cycle and understand the critical issues in reproductive endocrinology. Pharmacists can assist patients on a fundamental level by understanding the options available to patients.
