    • Overview

      This program is designed to provide an overview of the purpose, history, and evolution of PBMs and prescription discount cards. Key basic operations, incentives, and economic drivers of PBMs and discount cards will be addressed during this course, then the program will discuss how these mechanisms work, what their goals are, and their what their overall impact has been on healthcare costs and delivery. Finally, this class will give a brief overview of Rutledge v. PCMA, along with predictions for the future from healthcare economists and policy makers.
