    • Overview

Dosage forms are drug delivery systems that serve various pharmaceutical functions. Each dosage form is a formulation, or pharmaceutical product, that is unique in some way. As a pharmacy technician, you may interact with various dosage forms on a day-to-day basis. It is important to understand why a prescription is being dispensed in the form it is along with how it is being delivered into the body. In this course, we will review various dosage forms by diving deeper into what makes them unique through the types of dosage forms, routes of administration, and release mechanisms.
