  Overview

  Anxiety and depression affect millions of individuals worldwide. This session seeks to provide an overview of each disease state, followed by a discussion of different treatment options. Discussion of the treatment options will include the different types of medications used and standard treatment regimens, along with side effects that should be considered to make the best treatment decision for the patient. It is important for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to be advocates for individuals struggling with anxiety or depression and obtain resources for them. Finally, this session will provide updated information regarding new and upcoming treatment options for patients.
