    • Overview

Through a discussion of pharmacy technician responsibilities and boundaries, as well as regulatory recognition and stimulation of expanded professional roles for pharmacists, this class considers the implications of self-regulatory authority granted to pharmacy by society. The class addresses the frequently-heard complaint that the board of pharmacy "isn't doing anything to help pharmacists." The unique situation in which a single regulatory agency oversees both the professional practitioner and the practice site is examined.
