    • Overview

Approximately 50 million people were affected by dementias in 2018, and this number is expected to double every 20 years. There is, unfortunately, no cure for dementia, and treatment to limit progression is limited. Healthcare providers must be comfortable with discussing implications of dementia, as well as the nuances with available therapy. Recently in 2021, a novel therapy was approved with significant discussions on its implications.
